🌟A Ramsey Graduate: Meet Mr. Connor DiTomaso, a distinguished RHS alumnus (Class of 2014), a beloved Paraprofessional since 2018, and a future Teacher of Special Education.
🎯Big impact:
Mr. DiTomaso is enrolled in Ramapo College’s Teacher Assistant to Teacher Program, a rigorous teacher certification pathway.
Experienced Ramsey educators will collaborate with Connor to embed the requisite clinical experiences and skills for certification. At the same time, he can continue to make a difference in the lives of his students as a paraprofessional.
What they’re saying: My aspiration to become a teacher has been deeply inspired by my younger brother, James, who has Down syndrome. James and I have an irresistible bond to one another and it has been that way since he was born.
Teaching has always come naturally to me, and I continue to find great fulfillment in it. As a Ramsey graduate, I have learned from many incredible educators who have shaped the person I am today.
Being a member of the Ramsey learning community today means a lot to me. It has provided me with the opportunity to give back and make a difference in our schools. Furthermore, working alongside of Margarita Diakos and the S.T.E.P. team has further illuminated the profound impact that teaching can have on students’ lives.
I am so excited to see what this school year brings and continuing to learn to lead my own classroom in the near future.
Why it matters: Ramsey is proud to partner with Ramapo College in this workforce development model to increase the pool of qualified New Jersey educators.
😎With Mr. DiTomaso as a future educator, the future looks bright!
