On Thursday, September 26, 20 Smith Middle School students had the opportunity to visit the Bueller Challenger and Science Center (BCSC) in Paramus to make the first trial run on their Mission to Mars project.
This center is meant to honor the memory of the Challenger crew and preserve the mission of teacher Christy McAuliffe whose role aboard the Challenger was to teach about space.
What they’re saying: “The BCSC engaged all the competencies we strive for each day and did it in a way that I am sure these students will remember long after they have left Smith.” -Dale Poage, Smith Enrichment Teacher
On Monday I received an email from the Director of the center:
“Your students on Thursday afternoon "did you proud", as did their teachers…They were excited, engaged, handled some unplanned events, as well as provided terrific questions and feedback that assisted us in our training process.”
Way to go, Rams!
