⚛️National STEM Day (November 8) celebrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and inspires students to pursue STEM careers.
Why it matters: According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, STEM occupations, which include life and physical sciences, are projected to grow 10.4% by 2033, more than four times faster than non-STEM occupations.
🌟Today, we spotlight one of our most inspiring STEM educators, Mr. Daryl VanRy, RHS Teacher of Science since 2002.
What they’re saying: "I love teaching chemistry and physics because these sciences provide a foundational understanding of the natural world we live in." - Mr. Daryl VanRy
One fun thing: In honor of Mr. VanRy, check out this periodic table of science, technology, engineering, and math occupations.
👏 Thank you, Mr. VanRy, for shaping the next generation of STEM leaders!
