DECA Shop

What's happening: As the holiday shopping season approaches, Ramsey High School is encouraging students and community members to clear out their closets and donate gently-used winter clothing to a worthy cause.

  • From December 2-7, our DECA chapter will be hosting "Thrift-A-Palooza," a sustainable shopping event that supports eco-friendly initiatives in the local community.

  • Seniors Maddy Landel and Emily Fosdick are spearheading this campaign under the guidance of their Marketing II teacher, Mrs. Ornella Incardona.

Why it matters: This initiative is closely tied to Sustainable Jersey, a nonprofit organization that promotes environmentally-conscious practices across New Jersey. By donating unused clothing and shopping the Thrift-A-Palooza sale, participants can reduce clothing waste and contribute to a greener future.

The details: Students and community members can drop off gently-used winter clothing in the donation bin located by the Ramsey High School main office. Then, from December 2-7, the items will be available for purchase during the Thrift-A-Palooza sale in the school's upper gymnasium.

What's next: The event will culminate in a public shopping day on December 7th from 11 am to 2 pm, where all proceeds will benefit Sustainable Jersey's eco-friendly initiatives across the state.

As you prepare for the Black Friday shopping frenzy, take a moment to clear out your closet and donate your unused winter clothes to Ramsey High School's Thrift-A-Palooza. ♻
