Overview
Regular and timely school attendance is vital for meeting high academic standards. To promote attendance and punctuality, we have implemented the following policies and procedures:

• All students are expected to attend regularly for academic success.

• Arrival time is 7:55 a.m. daily.

• Please click under Important Links for the District's Attendance Policy.

• PLEASE NOTE: The parent portal closes at 7:45am. You will not be able to input your student's absences after 7:45am the day of.

Please report all student absences to the Attendance Office no later than 7:55am daily.

BY PHONE: The direct telephone number is 201-785-2341.  Voicemail messages may be left 24 hours a day/7 days a week.  Please include student name, grade, and reason for the absence.

BY EMAIL: Electronic communication of absences is also acceptable. Emailed absences must be sent by 7:55am on the day of the student absence.

SUBJECT LINE: Student Name/Grade

BODY OF MESSAGE: Please include student name, grade, and reason for the absence. Please also include a parent/guardian contact telephone number.

PLEASE NOTE: Submitting doctor's notes for absences will excuse the absence.  

• Doctor's notes must have the original signature and stamp to be valid.  

• Be sure to list the student's name on the doctor's note along with the appropriate dates of absences.

• Submit to the attendance office within 5 days of your child's absence.
